Refund Policy
Effective Date: January 1st, 2026
At Predatory Lending Investigation (“we,” “us,” or “our”), we strive to provide thorough and reliable document review and investigative analysis to our clients. We are an independent financial document review and investigative service. We are not a law firm and do not provide legal advice. Our services involve careful examination of loan agreements, mortgage documents, business lending contracts, and related financial paperwork to identify inconsistencies, unusual terms, excessive fees, or potentially unfair lending patterns.
This Refund Policy explains when refunds may be available and how they are handled.
1. No Guarantee of Specific Outcomes
By engaging our services, you acknowledge that we do not guarantee any specific financial, legal, or investigative outcome. Our role is to provide factual observations, analysis, and findings based on information and documents you provide. Because each case and document set is unique, results will vary. Accordingly, refusals or limitations on refunds apply.
2. Refund Eligibility
Refunds are considered only under the following limited circumstances:
a. Duplicate Payment
If we receive more than one payment for the same service, we will issue a refund for the duplicate amount upon request.
b. Canceled Service Not Yet Started
If you cancel your engagement before we begin substantive review or analysis — and no work has been completed — a refund may be issued, less a processing fee.
c. Administrative Error
If we incorrectly bill you due to an internal error, we will correct the billing and issue an appropriate refund or credit.
3. Non‑Refundable Services
The following are specifically not refundable:
Payments for services already rendered or work already performed.
Fees for review, analysis, summaries, or reports already completed and delivered.
Retainers, deposits or prepaid fees once document review has begun.
Any portion of fees associated with research or time spent prior to cancellation.
Once we begin substantive analysis of your documents or work product, the engagement is considered executed and the corresponding fees are earned and non‑refundable.
